Interactive exhibits at the Great Lakes Children's Museum aim to provide children with a greater understanding of the Great Lakes geography and history. Central to the museum is the Water Table, where visitors can experiment with channeling water and creating standing waves and eddies. Other exhibit areas include the museum's kid-friendly lighthouse and Toddler Beach, designed to provide a safe and stimulating environment for children under 36 months. The museum is located on the west shore of the Grand Traverse Bay in Greilickville, less than 3 miles from Traverse City.
